Allee recounts the experience of creating this series as such, "Once my camera was down inside the water, what I found was surprising and bewildering. There, inside the current, were different landscapes that felt familiar and foreign at the same time, resembling the world above but in miniature scale with an otherworldly feel. I discovered rock facades, small mountain ranges, canyons, storm clouds, deserts, snow flurries, and more, all submerged in and transformed by flowing water. The turbulent and often ominous world I explored was beautiful, isolating, and oddly comforting."
