Taco Soup (by Naz Deravian for NYT)
Here's an easy recipe for an early Fall supper. Don't let the word "taco" mislead you. There are no taco shells or tortillas IN the soup (though I served it with tortilla chips). The "taco" part describes what usually goes inside a taco. I happened to have all the ingredients on hand so I made the taco seasoning. I was happily surprised how truly delicious and satisfying this recipe was. It's now on my "go-to" recipe list.
