Designer Showcase Fundraiser

In June 2024, the Hammertown Design Team is participating in a month-long Designer Showhouse fundraising event at Cassilis Farm. The event is being hosted by Construct, a Berkshire based nonprofit that focuses on affordable housing and family support services.

 The Event will be running all weekends the entire month of June 2024 and will highlight the work of more than a dozen local and regional designers (including Hammertown) as well as landscape architects and visual artists.

  Historic Cassillis Farm in New Marlborough MA

 Each exhibitor has been assigned a space at Cassilis Farm, a 27-acre, Gilded Age estate that Construct, along with the New Marlborough Housing Development Committee (a group dedicated to addressing the challenges of affordable housing access in the region), purchased at auction with the collective goal of renovating and converting it into 11 much needed housing spaces.

For "Nature's Parlour”, their Showhouse space, they knew a creative floor plan was key to the large room's success and use pieces from our Made-to-order and stocked furniture collections to ground the two seating areas. The room is brought to life by the eclectic mix of new and vintage decor with a focus on natural textures and colors. The work of regionally-based artists punctuates the space and calls out to the artistic and bohemian roots of this historic property.
