Night Game Yankee Stadium 1000 Piece Puzzle

Fasanella, born in the Bronx, was a labor organizer blacklisted during the McCarthy years. As a gas station attendant, he was "discovered" by New York magazine. The resulting attention allowed him to pursue his art full time. This piece captures America's favorite pastime, while positioning the stadium next to a jail housing African Americans. References to Martin Luther King, Jr., and Malcom X can also be found in the painting.
